Woman tries to ban Catcher in the Rye

Sigh.. J.D. Salinger died earlier this year, back in January; amazing author. I won’t get into why I think this woman is stupid or how late she is to trying to ban this book.

I know one thing, I read this book when I was in 11th grade and it was the best book of the entire curriculum, swearing or not. The average 11th grader swears more than Holden did in the book, and I don’t see other “God Defacing” books being or attempted to being pulled.

Basically I think this woman is just PMSing that her kids will actually read a book that will teach them a few things about life and mommy is just going to have to suck it up that her babies are growing up.

By the way, the video didn’t say it, but people voted on the poll and the consensus was 9% to Yes to ban it and 91% not to ban it.

My vote would not to ban it, as I went out and bought the book shortly after the class finished reading it, its just that damn good.
